WHAT IS EYELASH TRANSPLANTATION?

Eyelash transplantation is a method applied under local anaesthesia. Hair follicles extracted from the back of the neck using micro motor are transplanted to eyelash area with FUE technique. Hair follicles can also be extracted from other areas of the body. But the researchs and the long years of experience have shown that, hair follicles extracted from the back of the neck give the best results.

Hair follicles extracted from other areas of the body are not as durable as the ones extracted from the back of the neck. Moreover; hairs extracted from other areas may grow in different directions. The operation takes 1 to 2 hours. If the operation will be performed on a local area, it can take as short as half an hour. The operation is performed under comfortable conditions and the results gained are very good. The patient can return to work and social life immediately after the operation.

HOW IS EYELASH TRANSPLANTATION DONE?

Eyelashes are important in terms of aesthetics, as they are positioned in the middle of the face. Eyelashes may be problemetic genetically or hormonally. Eyelashes can be corrected in medical and aesthetical terms and can be made abundant with transplantation operation. Eyelash transplantation must necessarily be performed under anaesthesia at hospital and under the supervision of a plastics surgeon. This operation leaves no scars, it is pain free and takes only 1 to 2 hours.

Transplanted eyelashes grow in periods and they should be cut now and then. The transplantation operation provides the patients with natural eyelashes that will survive forever. WHICH METHOD IS USED IN EYELASH TRANSPLANTATION?

The method preferred in our facility in eyebrow and eyelash transplantation is the most recent FUE method in which "implanter" injectors are used to create holes for transplantation without opening a channel. In this method, eyelashes to be transplanted into the eyelid are placed from the opposite direction. So, the current hair follicles are not injured and a faster healing process is ensured. Furthermore; hair follicles do not become dislocated and they can be transplanted denser.
